Synopsis (from Amazon):
When Sookie’s brother Jason’s eyes start to change, she knows he’s about to turn into a were-panther for the first time. But her concern becomes cold fear when a sniper sets his deadly sights on the local changeling population-and Jason’s new panther brethren suspect he may be the shooter. Now, Sookie has until the next full moon to find out who’s behind the attacks, unless the killer decides to find her first.

My Thoughts:

About Sookie Saturday:  I read the Southern Vampire Mysteries last year, flipping through the pages while listening to the audio books.  I pulled a butt-numb-a-thon and did all of the books in like 9 days! Go me!  Since it had been a while since I read these books, I am flipping back through them to try to refresh myself and exactly what goes down in each book.   So much happens in each book, please forgive any plot mix ups on my part.  My plan is to do a SOOKIE Review every Saturday, so for the next 10 (hopefully 11 if I grab the newest one!) weeks – we’ll be celebrating SOOKIE SATURDAY!  Also, please be warned->   Sookie Saturday posts may or may not contain SPOILERS!

Sorry I missed a week! UGH!  I’ve been so sick.  Feeling like I’m on the mend now though, so hopefully I won’t miss anymore weeks!

This book, is probably one of my least favorite in the series.  There is so much going on, in so few pages that it just becomes almost overwhelming to keep it straight.  And to be honest, some if not most of it was “WTF” type of pointless…

Some of the downs in this one:
the Sweetie/Sam storyline.  What was that about?  It was just weird and I felt like it wasted my time.  Time I could’ve spent reading about characters that I cared about.

Charles Twining:  I really liked him, even though he was very douchey.  Don’t give me a character I can like and then take him away.  That’s just mean.

Tara’s storyline:  bluh.  I like Tara in the TV show so much better than Tara in the books.

The Plus side:

I love Claudine, I swear I do!!

ALCIDE! haha!  Let’s face it.  From here on out, this is all I will really have to talk about.  Ok, not really, but really this storyline is awesome!  The werewolf “challenge” thingy was a-maz-ing!  I teared up a little during this thing.  No kidding.   I love getting to see the pack life and all that.  Plus, Alcide. lol.

So I guess for this one:
Its still a READ IT, just read it knowing it isn’t one of the best ones in the series.  And don’t let THIS be the first one you read, it won’t make any sense and you’ll be all “WHAT?!”

Warning to parents: this is an adult novel.  It contains: blood, gore, and sexual content

Join me next Saturday for  Definitely Dead (Sookie Stackhouse, Book 6)
