Friday Favorites: Top 5 Wishlist Books!

Hey guys! Since my #FridayReads is exactly the same as it was LAST WEEK ( #FridayReads + Announcement! September 13, 2013 ) I thought it would be fun to do a little something different for this weekend.

I absolutely LOVE the TOP TEN TUESDAY blogs, hosted by the Broke and Bookish. LOVE THEM.  But for me – TEN things is a lot, and I almost always already have a post lined up on Tuesdays!  I also love the FRIDAY FAVORITES videos my favorite Beauty Gurus do over on Youtube! (Friday Favorites and Fudgeroos is probably my fav!)  Anyway, I thought I would kind of combine the two memes, and post a random Favorite or Five on the weeks when my #FridayReads is the same as the week before!

Bunnys Friday Five

So for this week, I thought I would show you the TOP FIVE MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS ON MY WISHLIST!  These are the five books that I do not currently own, and want THE MOST out of everything else on my list!

Joyland (Hard Case Crime) by Stephen King

When this book came out, I refused to buy it.  Why? Because I was holding out.  It only came out in audio and paperback and I was FOR SURE they would release it in hardback.  And… they did! Only – as a special edition run.  Which means finding one IN ENGLISH is like damn near impossible.  It looks like I am going to have to break down and get it in paperback yall. *insert sadface here*  Paperback is better than no back, I guess.

Release Date: 2013-06-04

A STUNNING  NEW NOVEL FROM ONE OF THE BEST-SELLING AUTHORS OF ALL TIME!The #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!Set in a small-town North Carolina amusement park in 1973, Joyland tells the story of the summer in which college student Devin Jones comes to work as a carny and confronts the legacy of a vicious murder, the fate of a dying child, and the ways both will change his life forever."I love crime, I love mysteries, and I love ghosts. That combo made Hard Case Crime the perfect venue for this book, which is one of my favorites. I also loved the paperbacks I grew up with as a kid, and for that reason, we’re going to hold off on e-publishing this one for the time being. Joyland will be coming out in paperback, and folks who want to read it will have to buy the actual book." – Stephen King

Doctor Sleep: A Novel by Stephen King

OMG! ARE.YOU.KIDDING.ME?!  I can’t wait for this to come out!  I got it on audio book, already.  The publisher was nice enough to send me a review copy!  Now,  that being said… I NEED HARDBACK!!! hahaha!

Release Date: 2013-09-24

Stephen King returns to the character and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance and the very special twelve-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. On highways across America, a tribe of people called the True Knot travel in search of sustenance. They look harmless—mostly old, lots of polyester, and married to their RVs. But as Dan Torrance knows, and spunky twelve-year-old Abra Stone learns, the True Knot are quasi-immortal, living off the steam that children with the shining produce when they are slowly tortured to death. Haunted by the inhabitants of the Overlook Hotel, where he spent one horrific childhood year, Dan has been drifting for decades, desperate to shed his father’s legacy of despair, alcoholism, and violence. Finally, he settles in a New Hampshire town, an AA community that sustains him, and a job at a nursing home where his remnant shining power provides the crucial final comfort to the dying. Aided by a prescient cat, he becomes “Doctor Sleep.” Then Dan meets the evanescent Abra Stone, and it is her spectacular gift, the brightest shining ever seen, that reignites Dan’s own demons and summons him to a battle for Abra’s soul and survival. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of devoted readers of The Shining and satisfy anyone new to this icon in the King canon.
