Holy crap! I went kind of crazy downloading free books for my kindle this weekend! I didn’t realize how many free ebooks I had downloaded until I went to do up this post for you guys. I ended up nabbing like 60 (yes, SIXTY) WOW! Needless to say, I’m not posting ALL of them – but below you will find quite a few goodies to get you through your next reading slump! I believe what I nabbed was horror, fantasy, thriller, and childrens books!

Mile 81 (Kindle Single) by Stephen King
PRICE: $2.99 I know it’s $3 but, I really don’t think you’ll find it cheaper. I actually won it from the publisher, before it came out, but it loads to Adobe Digital Editions and I can’t put it on my Kindle. So I imagine I’ll end up buying the stupid thing just so I can have it on my Kindle.

It’s a place where high school kids drink and get into the kind of trouble high school kids have always gotten into. Pete, armed only with the magnifying glass he got for his tenth birthday, finds a discarded bottle of vodka in the boarded up burger shack and drinks enough to pass out. Not much later, a mud-covered station wagon (which is strange because there hadn’t been any rain in New England for over a week) veers into the Mile 81 rest area, ignoring the sign that says "closed, no services." Julianne finds Doug Clayton’s cracked cell phone near the wagon door – and gets too close herself. By the time Pete Simmons wakes up from his vodka nap, there are a half a dozen cars at the Mile 81 rest stop. Two kids – Rachel and Blake Lussier – and one horse named Deedee are the only living left. Unless you maybe count the wagon.
