My Thoughts:
This was a fun little book. It is the story of two little trouble makers who decide to enter the school talent show. Since neither of them have a “talent” they decide to put on a magic show. They “head” (ahaha, you’ll get that joke after you read it) out to a scary little magic shop to find the perfect trick to win them the talent show, and quickly learn that nothing is as perfect as it seems.
The characters were well rounded, and I think younger readers will really be able to relate.
In Conclusion:
Apparently, this series was actually started back in the late 90’s, and they are firing it back up because there is a tv show in the works. I thought this book was really cute, and am looking forward to picking up the rest of the series, including the older ones.
Mom Notes:
Would recommend for ages 8+. Might be a little scary for younger readers.
