Oct Photography Challenge – Bugs

oct2010-PHOTOCHALL-bunnycatesdotcom

One of my personal goals is to actually  better my photography, so I thought it would be fun to have some photography challenges around here.  I would love to have some discussion going on technique and tools!

For the first challenge: a 2 parter — BUGS with a Twist. LOL!

The subject is BUGS, but I also want to see you use a little “artist eye” in POST PROSSEESSING.   Focus this month on creative cropping!

So your photo submission this month should be a photo of a bug & it needs to be shown with two distinctively different crops.

Here are mine.

I caught this little guy while we were out on a family golfing day.  He was a hard catch for me.  Out of about 35 photos of him only TWO were in focus!  I really need to practice my manual settings better.  I consider my in focus photos of this little guy “happy accidents”.  🙂

To Play: Just photograph a bug, and get to cropping!  Post your entries either on your blog our on our flikr group, then come back here and link it up so we can all be inspired by your creativity.   Feel free to comment below and share any thoughts/tips/etc you had while doing this challenge!  We can all learn from each other!

Deadline: Friday, October 29th. I’ll set the links to auto close at that time, and then over the weekend I’ll go thru and pick a few of my favorites out of all of the submissions!
