April 2011 Card Sketch Challenge

Im hosting another set of challenges this month and my favorite is card sketch challenge at DSO! 

This month’s sketch was clean and fun!

and my friend KimB even helped me out by creating a POSTING BONUS for this month, so everyone that does the challenge will get this free gift as a Thanks for Playing!

I had tons of fun creating my card.  NOT!  I tried out a new crafting tool and it SUCKED!  More about that another day, LOL!

I used GS Creations new cute kit called Easter Hop, how cute is this!

Anyway, the way I do hybrid cards is pretty idiot proof.  I “mock” the card up on the pc…

And then I print everything out and slap it all together.  Sometimes I print it as is and sometimes I separate the layers and print each layer off so so I cant get some dimension on my card…

On this little chick, I printed it twice.  I cut out the wing on the extra print, and added some bling to the colored dots with my Sakura Stardust pens…

I stamped the You’re so… with an Inkadinkado stamp and embossed it with clear ZING embossing powder.  Then on the banner I stamped out the word TWEET in silver ENCORE INK  and embossed the WHOLE banner with versamark and UTEE

The chick wing has a dimensional on the outside part so it looks like he’s raising his arm, and the banner is attached with dimensionals as well, with the first E having 2 dimensionals so it looks raised up and flowing…
