Needful Things by Stephen King
Release Date: 1997-06-01
There was a new shop in town. Run by a stranger. Needful Things, the sign said. The oddest name. A name that caused some gossip and speculation among the good folks of Castle Rock, Maine, while they waited for opening day.
Eleven-year-old Brian Rusk was the first customer and he got just what he wanted, a very rare 1956 Sandy Koufax baseball card. Signed. Cyndi Rose Martin was next. A Lalique vase. A perfect match for her living room decor. Something for everyone. Something you really had to have. And always at a price you could just about afford. The cash price that is. Because there was another price.
There always is when your heart’s most secret, true desire is for sale …
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King
Release Date: 2000-02-01
On a six-mile hike on the Maine-New Hampshire branch of the Appalachian Trail, nine-year-old Trisha McFarland quickly tires of the constant bickering between her older brother, Pete, and her recently divorced mother. But when she wanders off by herself, and then tries to catch up by attempting a shortcut, she becomes lost in a wilderness maze full of peril and terror. As night falls, Trisha has only her ingenuity as a defense against the elements, and only her courage and faith to withstand her mounting fears. For solace she tunes her Walkman to broadcasts of Boston Red Sox baseball games and follows the gritty performances of her hero, relief pitcher Tom Gordon. And when her radio’s reception begins to fade, Trisha imagines that Tom Gordon is with her — protecting her from an all-too-real enemy who has left a trail of slaughtered animals and mangled trees in the dense, dark woods….
Misery by Stephen King

After an automobile accident, novelist Paul Sheldon meets his biggest fan. Annie Wilkes is his nurse-and captor. Now, she wants Paul to write his greatest work-just for her. She has a lot of ways to spur him on. One is a needle. Another is an ax. And if they don’t work, she can get really nasty…

Sooo.. my favorite horror book? I’d say it’s definitely one of Stephen King’s books, though which one?! Tough choice! I loved The Shining, The Long Walk, Dream Catcher, Desperation, Misery, Bag Of Bones, Sleepwalkers and many more of his amazing stories. Oooh! I loved The Stand, too! Honestly, I grew up reading Stephen King and I think I’ve read like 98% of his books, so it’s really hard to pick the one that I liked the most. Have you read Under The Dome?! That one was EPIC, too!
I also really like Dean Koontz. Some of his books – like ODD Thomas series for example – are really good! Have you read any of his books?
I also like Joe Hill a lot. He’s almost as creepy in his books as his father 🙂 Heart Shaped Box and Horns were both really good!
I’m so glad to have found you and your website! it isn’t very often that I come across another blogger who loves SK as much as I do! We should be pals 😀 Hope to see you around and chat more with you!!!
Hugs,
Evie
