Love You card
the starting sketch
I was really happy about making a card today. Valentines is almost here, and I have been DYING to use this paper pad I got from Me & My Big Ideas! Its the Alison Value pack pad. 180 sheets!
First step was gathering everything I thought I wanted to use, and then cut my cardstock.
Paper dimensions were:
kraft – 9 x 4.5
patterened paper was – 4 x 4
kraft strip was –4 x 2.5
I went ahead and scored my paper at 4.5 inches. And then used the 1/2 in side of my Corner Chomper, I chomped the bottom edges on my card base and on my patterned paper.
The flowers, one of my blog readers sent me as a RAK a few years ago. I spritzed them with a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water to make them shimmery.
next I used some super sharp scissors and cut the shank off my button so it would like flat on my flowers.
Lots of tombow aqua because I didn’t want my button to fall off. 🙂 *ps – this is by far, my favorite glue. It dries completely clear. Still wet in this photo.
Then I thought the flower center could use some bling (of COURSE!) So I whipped out my I-Rock. Man them little blings get slippery when you’re putting them onto plastic. haha!
I went ahead and adhered my strip to my patterned paper with tombow adhesive and tied my ribbon.
then I used some rub on letters, and stamped the word LOVE in white craft ink.
adhered that to my card base with some dimensional adhesive and drew faux stitching on with my white gel pen. Then I adhered the flower with some more tombow aqua and sprinkled the card with some heart sprinkles that I found in my stash the other day.
I love love LOVE the little heart sprinkles. The ones on the right you still see the glue because it hadn’t dried yet, but you can see on the left, the aqua dries clear. YAY. I am really happy how this one turned out. 🙂
