Milestones

Big day in Cates household…

Kids are out of school for the summer.  Not sure whether I should be woohoo’ing because I get a few months of no alarm clock or boohoo’ing because both my babies are practically grown ups.  🙁

The boychild is officially a JUNIOR.  Evident in proof by the monthly payments we have been making on his senior ring.  Man, I didn’t realize how expensive those things are!  His middle school ring was only like $100 so what gives?!  They look the same!  So how is there a $500 price difference?!  bah! 

The girlchild had her 5th grade graduation today – and is officially a middle schooler.  Mr Cates and I headed out to the big shindigg the school put on for the kids and got to see Monk get a few awards – and took pics of her with her friends etc.   I kind of screwed up though, I took my new big expensive camera.  And I didnt eat before we left.  My hands were shaky the entire time we were gone.  I get the shakes if I don’t eat or drink anything for too long after I get up.  Apparently – mr big n heavy don’t like shaky because nearly HALF the shots I got today were blurry as crap!  I wish I would have taken my Canon as a “back up” but I just didnt think about it.

So that was pretty much our day!  Its hot nasty here, and trying to rain.  Feels like Georgia not Kentucky, I swear.  Airs so wet n heavy you cant hardly breath even!

Anyhoo!
