In My Mailbox – May 8 2011

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren in which book bloggers share the books they’ve gotten in the past week.

I actually got NOTHING in my mail this week, boo!  I did pick up a few from the library and from a second hand book store, so I thought I would post those this week.

First from the library:

The first two, just kind of jumped off the shelves at me, no idea why.  After starting the first one, and QUITTING already…I’m scared to pick up the other one. LOL…

and then I stopped by the used book store here in town, GIVENS BOOK EXCHANGE,  (which is almost NEVER open!) The little old lady that runs it, looks much like any witch you would see depicted in cartoons or described in fairytales!  She is the sweetest little old lady I have EVER talked to, I swear it!  Books in her shop are stacked floor to ceiling and I swear it reminds me of the little shop from Gremlins that they buy Gizmo in!  NO KIDDING!  Stacks of *bleep* and dust everywhere!  She doesn’t even use a computer for inventory – but she knows EVERYTHING in that store and exactly which pile it’s in!  So sweet! haha!!

Anyway-

I told her I was looking for some witches – maybe YA, and she pointed me to this box.

I got the SWEEP series by Cate Tiernan (books 1-14) for $1 a book. YAY!
