Welcome to the first TUESDAY TOUR post!

Im constantly being asked to do an updated bookshelf tour on my youtube channel.  To be honest, guys, I just have so many books now that I don’t have the time to film a tour. It would take me days, since I work a full time job. I have over 4000 books in my library, so when I say days…I mean DAYS.

I was trying to come up with the best way to do a tour without having to drag out all my camera and lighting gear and I thought…why not do a Tuesday Tour post each week?!  Kind of like a MailBag Monday, only instead of showing you all the new stuff I got in the mail this week, I would be featuring a new section of the library!

HOME LIBRARY TOUR – YA SECTION

To kick us off, I thought I would start in the first section you come to when you enter the room.  This wall is the YA (Young Adult) wall. This wall is YA at the top, and fades into Middle Grade at the bottom.

I do not alphabetize my books, rather they are organized by genre and then group by series and/or author where applicable. That way if I know the series or know the author I can find all the books that are relevant as needed. If that makes sense? It makes sense to me, anyway…

YA Section – Week 1 – Cubbies 1-3

This week lets look at the first three cubbies on the top of the YA section. I feel like my YA section, at least these first few shelves, are pretty standard of any YA section. I mean, Twilight, Bloodlines, and Vampire Diaries…. Pretty standard ya vampire romance. You don’t get more YA than that right there folks. Am I right?

YA Section 1 Wrap Up… ie: my feelings….

Im not ashamed of this section, y’all. I have to admit that while I’m not a Twihard…I mean, what kind of YA section would this be without it? While I’ve only read the first book, I have loaned this entire series out more times than I can count so it was definitely worth having in my collection.

As cheesy as they are, I loved the Vampire Diaries books (and tv show!).

So, really, whether I liked the book or not if they let me share my love of reading then I say they are worth having around. Nope, not ashamed of this section, AT ALL y’all.
