Revisiting childhood…

So for a while now, I have been wanting to go out and revisit the little red house we lived in when I was little.   I’m not sure how long we lived out there in the country, but it is the first house I remember.  When I think about “when I was a kid” or “good times” it always goes back to that house.  Before school.  Before having to deal with “Society” and “bullies” and just all the bull shit that comes from being around other people.  It is located…

Template Tuesday

So its the start of a new month, and I realized something…   I kind of miss scrapbooking. =)  After a much over due hiatus from all crafting, I am kind of feeling a little mojo creeping back in.  This is a good thing!  I decided I would host one of my old challenges on my private forum for July, and when I sat down…somehow I ended up hosting THREE! YAY!    So here is my most recent template.  It is for 12 x 12 pages, layered PSD format for cross…

and baby makes three (kids)

One of the best things we did on this years vacation was spend some time with my littlest niece.  =D I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss having a baby in the house.  Totally. Lying.  Now that my youngest is almost twelve, I really do have days where I look at my kids and think “*&%$, Im old”  followed immediately by “I miss cuddlewuddles” *insert sadface pout here*.  LOL Anyway, so this year I pestered my SIL into loaning me a baby for a few days.  Ok,…

Its a Company thang

This years company picnic for Mr C’s j-o-b was at Holiday World again.  It doesn’t hurt that the people that own my Mr’s work – are siblings to the people that own Holiday World.  lol.  The kids love the company picnic.  Me, not so much.  It was hot as Hades out there this year.  I love that Holiday World has free sunscreen and free drinks.  Unfortunately, their sunscreen is more like sun attractant.  All of us that used the sunscreen got FRIED.  Mr C, did not.  Did not use it. …

Dam this vacay…

As promised I’ll be posting a few pics of our vacation this year.  We really didn’t do anything “amazing”, we aren’t rich folks – ya know? Pretty much the first week was just a house filled with extra kids.  One of Sis’s besties was fixing to leave for London (UK, not KY) so they tried to spend tons of time together.  Then the other bestie was feeling left out – so she started coming over too.  Bub pretty much locked himself in his room most of the time. Poor guy. …

Vacation is killing me

OMGosh, this has been the longest two weeks of life. No kidding.  I promised Mr C – no “book things” and no “blogging” while he was off.  Is it Monday yet?! Omgosh… FAIL.  *sigh*  I am just popping in to say hi.  I keep getting messaged wanting to know where I am – and I’m like … omgosh, I told you guys I was going on vacation!  haha.  Anyway.  Will probably post a big post this weekend.  Just wanted to pop on a sec and say “Yep.  We are STILL…

Happy Anniversary, Husband!

Today is Mr Cates and my eleventh wedding anniversary. Yesterday, I avoided him all day…on purpose.  He had to work last night so I only had to leave him alone in the morning and not wake him up too early before work. It was EASY! When he left last night I rushed him out the door.  He did not mention our anniversary.  Score! My goal, was to be the first one to bring it up this year.  That way I can spend the next week accusing him of not remembering…

Milestones

Big day in Cates household… Kids are out of school for the summer.  Not sure whether I should be woohoo’ing because I get a few months of no alarm clock or boohoo’ing because both my babies are practically grown ups.  🙁 The boychild is officially a JUNIOR.  Evident in proof by the monthly payments we have been making on his senior ring.  Man, I didn’t realize how expensive those things are!  His middle school ring was only like $100 so what gives?!  They look the same!  So how is there…
