Finding mojo

I think my “self” is finally readjusting and coming to terms with no longer having the “stress” of running a big site.  THIS, my friends is a good thing!  I feel myself slowly feeling creative again.  THIS is ALSO a good thing!

For a long time, I have wanted to write a series of posts that just focus on finding inspiration in everyday things.  You don’t have to be in an art museum or gallery display to be inspired.  Creative “sparks” are all around you if you just relax enough and open yourself up to them.

With those “sparks” in mind, I want to kick off a new segment for this site.  An “Excursion into Ordinary”.  I don’t know how often I’ll be posting for this segment.  I suppose it would depend on how often I find myself inspired into “creativity” by something I see!

For our first Excursion into Ordinary –

I absolutely LOVE Old Navy.  LOVE them/it.  Just walking into the door at Old Navy feels like a big warm hug to me  I “KnOw” I will not only find something that actually fits there, but something that fits that is CUTE.  And it FITS.  Like it was made – JUST FOR ME!  Old Navy makes me happy.

Seeing their online ads makes me just as happy.  When I am happy, I feel like creating!  Here’s their site from today: 11-08-2010

The first thing I see of course is they are having a SALE! YAY!   But after that initial dollar sign reaction passes I see tons of creative aspects to this ad.  The one I chose to let “spark” today was that stamp up there.  Only I thought “wouldn’t that be cute for some photos?”

So for you today,  a stamp frame.  This frame actually has several layers, and includes layers that are “unfolded and unshadowed” so you can be a little free with your own shadows if you wish!  The photo spots are on their own layer(s) so you can easily “clip” your photos.  🙂

Excursion into Ordinary #1 just click to download.
Please note:  I will no longer be using 4shared for my freebies.  You WILL have to put in your name and email address to get the download link.  This does NOT put you on my mail list or anything like that, it just allows me to see who my “regulars” are and also will help cut down on piracy.  Please do NOT share my files.  If you would like your friends to have them, please link them to my SITE instead.  Thanks so much for understanding!

Here’s hoping my little Excursion into Ordinary has inspired YOU in some way.  If you use the frame, I would LOVE to see what you create!
