Synopsis:
The Legend of Zelda is a high-fantasy adventure based on the wildly successful and long-running video game series by game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. In February 2000, Shogakukan began publication of manga artist Akira Himekawa’s adaptation of nine of the most well known Nintendo games in the series. Each story follows the adventures of Link, the hero of the video game series, as he battles the forces of evil to save the Sacred Realm.

My Thoughts:

It’s a great manga based of one of my favorite games, so I had to read it.

This one portrays Link as any fledgling hero, a bit over-courageous. Though it does make sense. Since this manga is based off the classic N64 Game, most of the characters you meet along your journey’s appear with a little more emotion than they had in the game. Re-appearances include Zelda, Navi, Ganon, I think the happy mask salesman also makes an appearance.

What I liked about it was the nostalgic feel and how different it felt to let Link control his own story. More importantly, Navi wasn’t annoying like he/she is in the game. But the dungeons did seem a bit short. That kind of disappointed me, but I guess you cant have Link going through the whole dungeon, it would spoil it if you’ve never played it before.

I really hope you guys enjoy this manga as much as I did.
