THREE THINGS: DEC 1 2011

I’ve been seeing these “3 Things” posts all over the net the last week or so, so I thought I would chime in and share some things I’m loving this week! I didn’t want to JUST do “craft” supplies though, because that’s not all I am about! So for my 3 Things, I’m sharing 3 that genuinely are making my life better. =D

1. My Dad

OMGosh, mooshfest – right? LOL. Sorry, but it’s true. My Dad is much on my mind this week since I’ll be driving up there for a visit soon. He is having a pretty big doctor appointment coming up regarding his Crohn’s Disease. So any extra prayers you have laying around – Mr Rodney Brown could use a mention. 😉

2. My stupid iced tea maker {love}

I love this thing. This is like the third one I’ve owned in the last 16 years. They last. Forever! AND – they are less than $20!

We got our first one back when we were on the road traveling around the US. Living in hotel rooms kind of sucks. You do what you can to make it feel like home, kwim? One thing I did when we were traveling was try to have something other than pop around. Since most hotel rooms don’t have stoves, we got one of these guys. They are like a coffee maker, only they make iced tea, and for us sweet tea. Real sweet tea. You know – the kind with SUGAR? Yea, that kind! I love it, you just put the tea bags in, the water, and let it run. Add the sugar while the teas still hot. Stir, and fill with ice. LOVE. No pan to wash, and the pitcher goes straight in the fridge.

3. Straight Talk

So after seeing a couple of my friends cell phone bills, can I just say how happy I am with the company I went with. I did http://www.straighttalk.com/. I ordered my phone elsewhere because I wanted a better phone than what they have there on their site but I am 100% satisfied with their service. I pay a flat fee $45 for unlimited EVERYTHING each month. Unlimited calls. Unlimited texting. Unlimited internet. I have never went into “roam” (which I think is free anyway) and have only lost service ONCE. My phone is not as nice as an iphone – but what phone is? kwim? My phone does have aps, an awesome ass camera, does video etc. Its a great phone – and the service plan I got is just awesome! I don’t know how you guys can afford the $200-$400 cellphone bills! If my cell service were that high, I would not have a cell phone. I’m not kidding. Shoot, I’d love an iphone but no way in *beep* am I paying $400 for a phone! You guys are CRAY CRAY! haha! Seriously, if you are looking to save a little bill money – check out straighttalk. You can’t beat $45/month unlimited EVERYTHING. Its cheaper if you pay for more than one month at a time too. Like they have a 3 month package for a discounted price, etc. I pay mine online and don’t have to deal with mailing off bills or dealing with sales people. AND I pay with paypal. yay!
