Foot Notes

busy at life!

Sorry I’ve not really posted this last week guys. Life is crazy. Got in some computer parts and been doing upgrades on all my computers (plus trying to fix my laptop) and then hubs surprised me with a *NEW* pc, since all my others are anywhere from 5-11 years old!

Look who finally left the 90’s yall! Somebody (ie: ME) got themselves WINDOWS 8!

As if Windows 8 wasn’t going to be enough of a learning curve (my computers are XP and Vista!) I went ahead and upgraded my Office Suite. Ummm… the version I was using was 2002. This new version is 2013. Holy CRAP! I feel like I am going to need a college course to figure this out! Everything is SO DIFFERENT! It took all day to just get my email set up and then transfer my old emails/contacts/etc from my Outlook Express. I am so stressed out. I’m not even kidding!

Anyway, the point of this post is to just let you know posting will be light the next week or so. I have got to get all these files transferred over and then try to figure out this Windows 8. I *have* to! So, I’ll try to be posting some “Book of the Day” posts, but doubt any reviews will be up in the next week. 🙁

Off to tinker some more, wish me luck!

I love Windows 8, it was hard to learn it at first but I got used to it. Have you tried the split screen it?

    • No, I haven’t. But I have dual monitors so I don’t need it, really. I finally got my email all transferred over to the new computer and most of my “needed” software. Now it’s just a matter of playing with it and figuring out how to use it. LOL
