cuteness quantified

wow the last week or so seems to have just melted away. I swear I have no idea where the time has gone. I got a promotion at work, and though I still do not work a lot, it’s just enough to mess up my day! lol!!!

On a good note though, we have been so fortunate the past two weekends to be able to spend them getting to know someone very sweet. You see, at Christmas we finally got to meet my little niece.

Kara

She is 8,the daughter of my oldest little brother, and we had never gotten the chance to meet her! So for two weekends in a row now, I have jumped in my car and trekked the hour long journey to pick up this sweet little pumpkinhead at her grandmothers and bring her back to our house for a super fun night of laughs. I am so thankful that we are getting the opportunity to spend time with her. Our family is all strung out (no, not THAT kind of strung out silly) and we really don’t get to visit with FAMILY that often. This family just happens to be close enough in age with Sis that they really “hit it off” and are proclaiming BFFs! haha.

The girls are even doing the Our Dumb Diary book together (below) which is the stinkin cutest idea for a book EVER.

On Kara’s first visit we rounded out the day with a cooking lesson, and I may be mistaken but I think the girls LOVED IT! (Even though all they did was wash n peel some tators for me. lol)

and of course they had to be a little silly for the camera…

Kara has obviously NOT spent time with a scrapbooker either. “Aunt Bunny, why you taken all them pictures…” “well, to scrapbook” DUH! lol!!

this child is so ANIMATED that getting a good pic of her is almost impossible. She does NOT sit still!!!

The girls finished off that first night with some crafting of their own, and I think Kara had a great time!

We were sad to take Kara home Sunday, and to tell the truth the house seemed so empty all week. 🙁

This weekend the girls were told NO to sleep overs because its such a long drive and it was snowing out. Unfortunately for me, I am a sucker for the sad pouty face and pouty PLEAAAAAASSSSEEEEEEE over the phone and I caved and went and got her again… LOL

We didn’t do anything amazingly awesome this weekend, just a little family MONOPOLY. It was just too cold, and I was too wore out. LOL
