Noonsies in 2012

Every year I set out to take part in the Project 365 Photography Challenge.   Every year I fail, and so I think, ok – how about Project 52?  And then… I forget all about it.  Not this year.  This year I thought I would create a little challenge of my own, a motivator to help me get through the other Challenges!

After talking to a few friends on facebook who have the same problem as me, I came up with Noonsies!

What’s Noonsies? Everyday at NOON, snap a photo. It’s that simple! You can even use your cellphone.   The idea is: that since it’s NOON at different times in different time zones, seeing the Noonsie posts going up all day will help keep us all motivated to take at least one photo a day.

I’ve created a FACEBOOK GROUP and also a group on Flikr, to make things easiest you can choose which ever one you are most comfortable using.  I’m still trying to figure out flikr, myself.  I have uploaded my pics to the group but they don’t seem to be showing, so I have no idea what I am doing there. LOL!

My noonsies so far:

My practice shot: Dec 31st, 2011…

We were at Wal-Mart buying groceries on Dec 31st, 2011 at Noon.

On Jan 1st…

I was playing with my new camera, watching the girls play before I had to take my little niece home.

On Jan 2nd, 2012…

We were killing off Christmas 2011.  We got all the decorations down, now it’s just the “clean up” that’s left.

Tip:  I have set an alarm on my cellphone to beep every day at 5 till Noon.  That way I can just grab my cell to turn off the beeping and shoot the pic. It’s worked out well the first 4 days (I did a couple of practice days)

I won’t be posting my Noonsie pics here on the blog daily.  I think I’ll just do a weekly round up post, instead.  But I will be posting them daily to both the Facebook group and also the flikr group.

I hope you will decide to join in the fun and do a few Noonsies for yourself.  I think they are going to be a great “Life” recorder, not too mention helping keep us on track for our P365 and P52 challenges!
