PIP: ALTERED BIRTHDAY BOOK – Pockets and Calendar

Here’s another installment of this months PiP project! Last week I did the covers, cut some dividers, and began planning out the logistics of the pages and the calendar. I ended up adding a little inking to the edges of the covers.  My thinking is this thing is going to get USED so it’s going to get a little dirty.  Inking it up now, will help “hide” any dirt or smudges that get on it in the future… I went ahead and inked the pockets, too. I adhered the pockets…

PiP: Altered Birthday Book – Covers

Something I’m hoping to do around here is post a P.I.P. (Project in Progress) once a month.  I would like to post projects as I am working on them, so you guys can see them progress and create them TOO should you want.  I think it will be fun! This month’s PiP is the book I am making for my Gran for Christmas.  My Gran has Alzheimer’s, and as such she forgets things.  She gets very upset if she forgets someone’s birthday or to mail them a card, so I…

Wangy Chicken Teriyaki

This is one of my favorite “gotta lick the sauce off my fingers” recipes, and it’s SUPER easy! 4 tbsp brown sugar (by tbsp I mean HEAPING. lol) 6 tbsp soy sauce (not heaping, obviously.) 2tbsp oil (I have used olive and Wesson, Wesson tasted better) 1 tsp ground ginger 1 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp black pepper 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts Combine everything except the chicken in a bowl and whisk it up real good.  Make sure to get all the “clumps” out of the brown sugar. Cut…
